Nature Studies Early Release After School at Blue Heron Middle School

Youth learn to make friction fire with sticks in a Nature Studies program.

Outdoor fun for 7-14 year olds!  1-4pm on Wednesdays, need not be Blue Heron students to participate. Through the use of games, exploration, music, and fun within the context of a small community, the children will learn the following skills: animal tracking, traditional survival skills, medicinal/edible plants, wild food/primitive cooking and teamwork.
