Siebert Creek Planting

Organization

The North Olympic Salmon Coalition and North Olympic Land Trust are seeking volunteers to help plant native trees along Siebert Creek on Saturday, January 26, 2019.
The Siebert Creek Conservation Area is a 38.5 acre parcel protected by the North Olympic Land Trust. Approximately 1500 feet of Siebert Creek flows through the conservation area.
A local nonprofit organization, called Pacific Woodrush, purchased the Siebert Creek Conservation Area in 2002. The North Olympic Land Trust then completed conservation easements on three private properties and added 4.5 more acres to the Siebert Creek Conservation Area.
Revegetation along Siebert Creek will help restore vital fish habitat and boost recreational opportunities.
Tools and gloves will be provided, but are in limited supply so feel free to bring your own. The event will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m on January 26, and will include light refreshments and hot drinks. Bring warm, waterproof clothes and boots, water, and a lunch.
