I can offer general mentoring to high school students interested in working in environmental science, outdoor education, or anything related to sustainability. I am also a specialist in traveling with a purpose in Latin America (Mexico, Central, and South America), particularly for finding/creating your own independent learning activities in conservation, permaculture, and sustainable tourism. I am currently recruiting for 4-week summer internships with a conservation project in Peru.

I have a two degrees in Geography and have traveled extensively. I can help you plan your adventures in Latin America, or create your own internship or independent learning experience anywhere in the world. I speak fluent Spanish, and can converse in French and Italian, and can banter in Mandarin, Hebrew, and Portuguese. I am currently recruiting volunteers/interns for an amazing native forest conservation project in Peru, not far from Machu Picchu.

My specialty is birds, but I am knowledgeable in many aspects of Ecology and Natural History, in the Cascadia Bioregion, of the Olympic Peninsula, Western Washington and Oregon, and mountain landscapes and ecosystems worldwide. I have a lot of field experience in the mountains of North America, Mexico and South America, and most recently I taught a field methods course for Peruvian university students conducting a biological inventory in the Andes.
