Briefly describe the program, volunteer work, or partnerships you or your organization may offer.
I would be honored to reflect with a student or group of students about their visions for the future and the choices they face. I spent the last decade working with K-12 education reform efforts, and I am currently writing about climate change and education. I would be particularly interested in discussing how an awareness of climate change may affect life decisions.
You have indicated an expertise in International Travel, Touring
As a high school student, I lived and studied in France for a year. As a college student, I traveled solo to South Africa, Kenya, and Madagascar, volunteering along the way. Later, I studied Spanish in Guatemala and worked as a graduate intern in Barcelona, Spain. After receiving a Master's in International Affairs from The New School in New York, I worked for the United Nations Foundation. I am a firm believer in the immense benefit, personal and communal, of international experiences.
You have indicated an expertise in Social Services and Non Profit
I have been on non-profit Boards and have worked as a communications consultant and educator for non-profits, both small and large. Having been raised Quaker and having served on the Board of a Quaker-founded organization, I have particular experience with consensus-based models of decision-making.
